KUPANG. Spektrum-ntt.com || Upacara memperingati Hari Pahlawan ke-75 tahun 2020 tingkat Kota Kupang berlangsung pagi ini, Selasa (10/11) di lapangan upacara Kantor Walikota Kupang, Jl. S.K. Lerik. Diikuti oleh peserta yang terbatas karena berlangsung di tengah pandemi covid-19, upacara dilakukan dengan mengikuti protokol kesehatan dan digelar sederhana namun khidmat.

Dalam upacara dibawah tema “Pahlawanku Sepanjang Masa” tersebut, Sekda Kota Kupang, Fahrensy P. Funay, SE.,M.Si menjadi Pembina upacara dan pemimpin upacara Kadis Sosial Kota Kupang, Lodowyk Djungu Lape, S.Sos. Hadir dalam upacara, Ketua DPRD bersama Wakil Ketua DPRD Kota Kupang, Forum Komunikasi Pimpinan Daerah, para Asisten Sekda, Ketua DWP Kota Kupang, para pimpinan perangkat daerah, camat, lurah dan pegawai utusan perangkat daerah.

Selaku Pembina upacara, Sekda dikesempatan tersebut membacakan amanat Menteri Sosial RI, Juliari P. Batubara. Disampaikan dalam sambutan tersebut mengingatkan kita pentingnya memperingati hari Pahlawan. “Hari pahlawan kiranya tidak hanya sekadar diingat pada setiap tanggal 10 November saja, namun lebih dari itu perjuangan dan pengorbanan para pahlawan yang telah mempertaruhkan nyawanya untuk mempertahankan kedaulatan negara kesatuan Republik Indonesia perlu terus dikenang sepanjang masa oleh semua sebagaimana tema hari pahlawan tahun 2020 yaitu Pahlawanku Sepanjang Masa,” ungkap Sekda.

Dikatakan perjuangan masa kini lebih kepada melawan berbagai permasalahan bangsa saat ini. “Kalau dulu kita berjuang dengan mengangkat senjata, maka sekarang kita berjuang melawan berbagai permasalahan bangsa, seperti kemiskinan, bencana alam, narkoba, paham-paham radikal, dan termasuk berjuang melawan pandemi COVID-19 yang saat ini melanda dunia,” ujarnya.

Disampaikan pula agar nilai-nilai kepahlawanan seperti percaya kepada Tuhan YME, rela berkorban, pantang menyerah, suka membantu, bergotong royong, perlu terus dirawat dan dipupuk agar dapat tumbuh bersemi di dalam hati sanubari setiap rakyat Indonesia. “Semangat kepahlawanan yang terus menyala,dapat dijadikan sebagai motor penggerak dalam upaya kita mengisi kemerdekaan untuk mewujudkan cita-cita pendiri negeri ini,” tuturnya. Selain itu, setiap warga negara diharapkan menjadi pahlawan masa kini. “Mari tunjukkan kontribusi kita kepada bangsa dan negara dengan menjadi pahlawan masa kini yang memiliki empati untuk menolong sesama, saling menghargai dan menghormati satu sama lain,” ucapnya.

Seusai upacara, saat diwawancarai awak media yang meliput upacara peringati Hari Pahlawan Ke-75, Sekretaris Daerah Kota Kupang, Fahrensy P. Funay, SE.,M.Si, mengatakan memaknai hari Pahlawan Pemkot Kupang senantiasa terus berjuang untuk kesejahteraan masyarakatnya. “Kita berjuang dengan hati untuk melayani, termasuk di suasana dan situasi saat ini kita perlu memperhatikan mereka yang susah. Termasuk di dalamnya, melalui program-program Pemerintah Kota Kupang, bagaimana memperhatikan rakyatnya yang sedang susah karena juga termasuk di dalamnya masalah pandemi covid ini,” pungkasnya. *Pkp_Ghe/Ech/Nis/red
